Westlake Barn is a small very pretty detached barn which has been converted to a high standard. It is located in a secluded valley and guests are welcome to explore the twelve acres which includes three lakes with streams and waterfalls (care needs to be taken with children) set in lovely parkland, a haven for wildlife and also a great place for games.
On the edge of Exmoor National Park, Bampton is a delightful destination for visitors to this unspoilt area of Devon. There is a good selection of shops, inns and restaurants in Bampton and also in nearby Dulverton. The cottage is within an hour's drive of both the North and South coasts and close to many National Trust properties, Tarr Steps, Wimbleball Lake and famous gardens as well as many family attractions. It is ideal for walking, riding, golf and fishing (Some fishing onsite).

Geographical location - Bampton - Devon Westlake Barn is situated about 1.3 miles from Bampton in rural Devon,South West England near Exmoor National Park. Bampton has two small supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers, bakers and a fish and chip shop. There are also many good pubs and restaurants in Bampton and the surrounding areas Tiverton is about seven miles away having a local shopping centre and Tesco, Morrisons and Marks and Spencers food stores.
Dulverton is also nearby and has a wider selection of shops including specialist fishing and riding shops. There are some locally owned gift, household and clothing shops. Dulverton is the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park and has a park information centre located within the excellent small museum and art gallery.
Because of the location, we advise that the use of a car will be essential during your stay.
